Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have generated a quasi super continuum (QSC) by tuning the wavelength of ultrashort soliton pulses rapidly and evaluated as a new broadband light source for optical coherence tomography (OCT). In this report, we demonstrated ultrahigh speed broadband wavelength tunable ultrashort pulse laser source at the scanning speed of 1.3MHz around 0.54~0.7, 1.0~1.9μm. We generated a unimodal QSC spectrum around 1.1~1.4μm and the interference signal which has near to the theoretical axial resolution was obtained. We succeeded in observing the ultra high resolution OCT image of an onion and a cheek pouch in the hamster.
