Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Wavelength-selective all-optical switching becomes a key technology for realizing high-speed broadband photonic networks. We have studied the switching technology with light intensity control elements, such as waveguide-type Raman amplifiers and attenuators. However, the switch previously reported has a problem to be solved, that is, narrow wavelength range for switching. In this report, we show that the available wavelength range can be drastically improved by employing asymmetric X-junction couplers instead of 3-dB couplers.
