Method for Controlling Phases of Coupled Oscillators Using Multilinear Feedback

Abstract(in English) The spontaneous synchronization of mutually interacting elements exhibiting regular rhythms is a well-known phenomenon in nature. It has recently been suggested that there are various medical and technological demands for controlling the dynamical behavior of such coupled-oscillator systems. In the present paper, we develop a method to control coupled oscillators in which the coupling function expressed in a phase model is regulated by the multi-linear feedback, and confirm its validity through a simulation. This method has wide applicability because we do not need to measure an individual output from each oscillator, but only measure the outputs from several measurement nodes.
