Abstract(in English) | We have devised algorithms for the automatic navigation of a mobile agent in the environment where wireless sensor systems are deployed to monitor the physical status of the environment. Our algorithms determine using sporadic sensor data the location where the physical status of the environment takes an extremum, without relying on gradients in the sensor field. The performance of the algorithms has been assessed in terms of the probability and time for finding the target location. |
