Considerations (3) on New Generation Network AKARI V-1.1 : Service logical network and Function to set/free VPN tunnels

Abstract(in English) Up to now, the author has reported the "Network overlay structure" that allows multiple services (applications) to be installed in NWGN core network. This report discusses the service support function that provides services for using NWGN core function, and describes, (1) Function to set and free VPN tunnels, (2) Function to count times each VPN tunnel is used. Next, the report describes that the service logical network built with VPN tunnels as its main elements can be useful when designing services, and explains three services based on the logical network. The author thinks it should be designated that NWGN overlay, (a) works under VPN circumstance, and (b) backs up services to carry out terminal roaming/hand-over, and believes that user controllability, the user can directly write programs for routing nodes, will confuse the issue of NWGN network operation responsibility and degrade overall reliability.
