Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We pursue ultimate high-stability obtained with the lasers frequency-stabilized to the absorption lines of atoms and molecules in thermal cells. For this purpose, we frequency stabilize a diode laser to the 6S-8S two-photon transitions (TPT) in cesium (Cs) atoms in an cell using an external cavity for enhancement of the laser intensity and the signal strength. The frequency stability was estimated to be 6.5×10^<-14> at an averaging time of 100s from the error signal. We measured the frequency of the Cs-TPT-stabilized laser using an octave-spanning optical frequency comb referenced to the GPS time. The frequency determined by preliminary measurement is in agreement with the values in the former measurements.
