Abstract(in English) We proposed novel offset crossing structure reducing loss and crosstalk of the Si wire waveguide. We analyzed the properties of this structure for both TE and TM modes by 2-D FDTD simulation. By optimizing the offset crossing structure with an angle of 20 degrees, a transmission loss of 0.06dB and crosstalk of -44.5dB was achieved for TE mode. A transmission loss of 0.07dB and crosstalk of -49.5dB was also achieved for TM mode. Low loss, compact crossing obtained in this research is very useful for large-scale optical switches and dense optical wiring.
