Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) All-optical switching devices are one of the key elements in future photonic networks. They have some characteristics of minimization, ultrafast switching operation and ultralow energy operarion. Using nano-structures of phonic crystal and quantum dots are candidates for a novel all-optical devices. To operate ultrafast speed, π-phase shift and ultrashort relaxation time are needed. We take notice of wavelength dependence of optical phase and amplitude modulations based on Kramers-Kronig relations in 1.3-μm nano- and bulk-semiconductors. In this report, we observed wavelength dependency in 1.3-μm bulk-semiconductor optical waveguide.
