Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, IP network is used for telephone network which requires high availability and stability, and, not only non-realtime services but also realtime services, such as IPTV, are provided through IP network. As one of the efficient management method for stable end-to-end network service quality, network tomography technology is being researched. This paper proposes algorithm to locate degraded elements in the IP network based on end-to-end IP path quality measurement, which enables to detect not only degraded links but also degraded nodes separately. This paper also discusses that this algorithm can be applied to degradation at multiple nodes or links, and also, intermittent degradation of nodes and links.
