Abstract(in English) In sensor networks, energy-efficiency is a crucial issue since sensor nodes are battery-powered in many cases. In order to reduce power consumption, avoiding collisions and the resulting retransmission reduction of packets are effective measures. In non-beacon mode of IEEE 802.15.4, child nodes send data packets by unicast to respond to a query packet broadcast by the parent node. Collisions of unicast packets and their losses are likely to occur. This consequently causes a lot of energy consumption. In order to reduce the packet collisions, this article proposes a method which distributes the timing of the unicast response by appropriately scheduling activation time of the child nodes. The proposed method is evaluated by the simulation. The simulation result shows that the proposed method achieves low power consumption while keeping high delivery ratio.
