Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The Internet treats many kinds of applications as a same QoS level. In such a network, there are the cases that users are not able to watch video applications because of the requirements of large bandwidth. In order to solve this problem, we consider the QoS control like Diffserv by automatically identifing the video traffic. While researchers proposed some methods that classify the traffic data into protocols such as HTTP or SMTP, there is no method that classifies the traffic data into video traffic. We consider the multiple usage of HTTP and try to classify HTTP into video, web, or file-transfer by using C4.5 decision tree. As a result, while the total recall rate decreased about 10%, the recall rate of video, which largely affects to bandwidth design, increased from 70% to 90%.
