Abstract(in English) The optical line switching method avoiding service interruption has been required for network services mainly employed by Business users. We studied an error-free optical line switching method for Ethernet optical access system using in wide area Ethernet service. This method dualizes the communication lines. This paper describes the necessary of the signal synchronization by equalizing the optical line lengths with high precision and the state of polarization control between dual lines to realize error-free optical line switching by dualizing communication lines.
