Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes an optical fiber line testing system using a small-scale optical fiber selector (FS) for detecting water in cable joints in rural areas. We evaluated the prototype small-scale FS and clarified the application area of this system. This system improves optical fiber cable network reliability.
