Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Authors studied efficiency improvement techniques for front end power supplies. In a PFC stage, ZVT soft switching circuit condition is optimized for reducing total switching losses. In an isolated DC-DC converter, the surge energy recyclying converter is proposed for reducing losses that is caused by secondary side surge voltage. As experimental results, it is proved that an efficiency of over 90% is possible at 20-100% load. This paper shows a theory of operation about the proposed circuit and the experimental results.
