Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Inter-domain routing failures in the Internet have become prone to a serious problem. Due to the Internet's sheer size, complexity, and various routing policies, it is difficult to locate the causes of large amount of BGP updates that occur from time to time, although there are some studies that have proposed locating methods by clustering BGP update messages collected at multiple measurement points. In this paper a new mod of locating BGP routing failures based on a comparison between monitored data and simulation results. The method is evaluated through some analysis on experimental networks and public measurement data. By comparing the inference results with APAN's maintenance trouble-tickets, we verified that our method has considerable potential that can locate BGP routing failures precisely.
