| 抄録(和) | IPTVや地上波デジタル放送対応TVの普及により,アナログTV時代にはなかった,チャンネル切り替え時の待機時間が生じるようになってきている.本稿では,TVのザッピングの際の待機時間に注目し,ザッピング時のTVの画面表示方法と,ザッピング操作に対する心理的な評価の関連から,ユーザが待機時間をより気にせずにザッピングを行うことのできる画面提示方法を検討する.実験により,ユーザにとって許容できる範囲を拡大する画面提示方法は,目的の番組コンテンツ表示までの間に,画面表示が変化するものであることが明らかにした.更にユーザに与えられる情報に見合った提示時間を考慮して,画面に情報提示を行う必要があることを示唆した. |
| 抄録(英) | IPTV, and indeed digital TV, suffers from perceptible delays when the channel is switched (zapped). This paper tackles the user's discomfort caused by this waiting time. We start with a psychological evaluation of user reaction to the delay and follow that with the development of a method of interim screen alteration to minimize the subjective delay. An extensive experiment in the laboratory examined the impact of various screen effects on the subjective delay as recorded by 20 subjects. The experiment showed that users were most comfortable when the screen display exhibited a noticeable change upon zapping followed by the display of a text description of the contents of the next program. The desired channel is shown when it is received and decoded. In addition, experimental results suggested that the amount of text information presented ahead of the desired channel should be reflected the time for which it is shown to the user. |
