Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) There are various display devices available for accessing information which vary in their physical characteristics such as different screen sizes, resolution, and input/output capabilities. Such physical characteristics pose difficult challenges for designing user interfaces in mobile computing domain. To cope with the problem of user interface design, a lot of research work is being carried out proposing different techniques, frameworks and UI design tools. In this article, we present a survey to find out the common features of the proposed solutions and also the problems which still needs to be solved. We also discuss our prototype application which considers the User-Agent Profile to create the user interface on-the-fly.
