Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have proposed "Projection-based See-through Pillar" to eliminate the dead angle caused by the front pillar of cars. In our method, the projected images have been distorted because the driver's eye and the projector above the driver's head don't locate at the conjugate position optically. Thus the projected image is required to correct. In this study, authors generate an image for driver's view-point by solving the average depth based on natural feature points from stereo-camera images, and correct the image for the pillar shape and the projector position. The result shows that the projected-image is connected to real world naturally.
