Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When spring comes, all living things start to regenerate. So, old things, though they have already lost their energies, try to regenerate in vain. T.S. Eliot wrote about this miserable yet merciful natural phenomenon in the first four lines of the first stanza of 'The Waste Land' by using a technique of visualizing something unvisual. He would like not only to make us accept the fact as true in our minds, but also to make us feel it as true in our hearts. Every writer uses their own inexhaustible creative faculties in their writing to metamorphose stories into literary works, and this imaginative fusion of two things can be very advantageous I am going to analyze the characteristics of writers' techniques for evoking primordial emotions in readers' hearts.
