Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Two planar projectors with identical rectangular apertures are placed side by side. Both the projectors radiate intense bifrequency-ultrasound beams in air. Two extreme cases are focused: one is conventional in-phase driving, and the other is phase-inversion driving. Sound pressure profiles were measured on a rigid sphere and a dummy head that imitate a human head. It was experimentally confirmed that the ultrasonic pressure levels are generally reduced by more than 10dB using the phase inversion technique.
