Abstract(in English) Multi-carrier-code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) has been attracting much attention because it can eliminate the adverse effect of the multipath fading by inserting the cyclic prefix and achieve the frequency diversity gain through frequency domain equalization (FDE) and despreading. We previously proposed a virtual multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system in which each path is separated without causing the inter-path interferecne (IPI) by removing the phase rotation (which apprears in the received frequency domain signal due to the path time delay) and despreading to use it as a virtual receive antenna. Although MC-CDMA can achieve a good bit error rate (BER) performance due to the frequency diversity effect, the transmission rate is reduced by a factor of the spreading factor. Thus, code multiplexing is essential to increase the transmission rate. However, the orthogonality distortion occurs after FDE, thereby producing the inter-code interference (ICI) and hence, degrading the achievable BER performance. In this paper, we introduce an iterative ICI cancellation to multicode MC-CDMA virtual MIMO sytem and evaluate its transmission performance by computer simulation.
