Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Card Sorting is a technique for exploring how people group items, so that information architects can develop structures that maximize the probability of users being able to find items. The card sorting process involves categorizing a series of cards, each labeled with a piece of content or functionality, into groups that make sense to users or participants. Since users' mental models and personal vocabulary are reflected in the sorted cards, card sort may not necessarily provide consistent results between participants. In this paper, we present a case study of design and evaluation of classification hierarchy for a multilingual school document portal site.
