Abstract(in English) This paper describes the result of having examined how an emulator realizes porting development as a means to increase the efficiency of software renewal of legacy equipment. While arranging the demand conditions to the emulator by analyzing API, by corresponding only to API actually used, it was shown that it can realize by a minimum function and operation was checked by prototype verification. Also in the legacy equipment which CPU/OS is so old that the virtualization software does not exist, it is shown that the emulator system which realizes application level virtualization is effective.
