Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | This paper describes a novel method for estimating the instantaneous frequency, amplitude, phase, and other waveform-related parameters of a real or complex time-varying sinusoid and their mixture. We start from the characteristic differential equations of these waves and arrive newly at an exact direct algorithm from a finite duration observation of the signal. It inherently involves the finite Fourier transform, thus sufficiently-separated multiple waves can be decomposed in frequency bands and estimated independently and accurately. We show a general theory and some particular algorithms for extracting the parameters of linear FM, quadratic FM, Gabor, and linear period-modulated signal. |
