Abstract(in English) It is important to clarify teletraffic characteristics for planning, designing, and operating mobile communication networks. Mobile communication terminals move around on the various platforms such as pedestrians, automobiles, and trains. Teletraffic characteristics of the mobile communication networks, thereupon, depend on the platforms motion. Platform loci have been measured for automobiles and pedestrians by using Global Positioning System and an autonomons navigation system; and estimated for train by using geolocations data of station and timetables. The platform motion has been characterized in terms of cell dwell time and transition probability in hypothetical cellular systems. A motion simulator of these platforms has been developed for combining with communication network simulators to study the teletraffic characteristics of mobile communication networks.
