Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This work proposes a new near-field data communication method by the propagation of vibration in a data-transmission medium. This method accepts any kinds of materials as the communication medium such as wood, glass, cloth, and even human-body because it does not use electric signals to convey the data. In this paper, the mechanism of the vibration-based data communication including a vibration transmitter and receiver newly developed will be clarified. In addition, some preliminary experimental results will be reported. We believe that this work will contribute the flexibility to the creation of applications for the new communication style.
