Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, the optical applications in a 1.0μm band using YDF or YAG laser, have attracted great attentions. For these applications, Holey Fibers (HFs) that controlled zero dispersion have been proposed. The unique structure of Hole-assisted Fibers (HAF) can also shift zero dispersion to short wavelength and have an advantage of productivity and good connectivity. We designed and fabricated simple-structure HAFs having zero dispersion in a 1.0μm band as well as low confinement loss and single mode operation. By optimizing the profile of HAFs, we successfully widen a usable wavelength range toward 1.0μm band.
