Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose a new microwave signal receiver using electro-optic modulators with polarization reversal. It is composed of electro-optic modulators with resonant electrodes coupled to microstrip patch antennas. It can convert several microwave signals to different optical signals at the same time. In addition, using an array of the antenna-coupled EO modulators and polarization reversal, it is possible to convert and discriminate several microwave signals coming from the different directions to different optical signals according to the angle of incidence. The operation principle and experimental demonstration are presented.
