Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A new electro-optical frequency-shift-keying modulator was proposed by using the polarization-reversed structure and the three-branch waveguide interferometer. Utilizing the modulation phase control technique with periodically polarization-reversed structure, optical phase modulations with the same frequency but rather the different modulation phase offsets can be obtained using a single RF modulation signal at the same time. In the fabricated device using LiTaO_3, its basic operations with the frequency offset of 50GHz was demonstrated.
