Effect of Reduction Process on Luminescent Property of ZnAl_2O_4:Mn Green Phosphor Prepared by Solid Phase Method

Abstract(in English) ZnAl_2O_4:Mn is known as green phosphor which emits luminescence of high color purity. We have investigated the effects of synthesis parameters on the properties of the phosphor prepared by solid phase method in order to improve the luminescent characteristics. The properties of the sample strongly depended on reduction temperature and Zn content in starting materials. The brightness and color purity changed with the reduction temperature probably due to variation in Mn^<2+> concentration and crystal structure of ZnAl_2O_4 respectively. It was also found that Zn content in starting materials influenced the trend.
