Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the conventional plural unit selection and fusion method, there are problems about degradation in synthesized sound from human voice and about low flexibility for applications such as voice conversion. The problem about degradation is caused by fusing aperiodic components as periodic ones. The problem about low flexibility is caused by fusing pitch cycle waveforms of selected units in time domain. In this paper, we propose a method which can generate natural synthesized speech by decomposing units into periodic and aperiodic components, and properly fusing each components respectively. Moreover, we introduced the FWF model to the proposed method. The model enhances flexibility to control formant parameters for applications such as voice conversion.
