Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Keeping clean sanitary conditions in the hemodialysis fluid is important for the safety therapy on chronic kidney disease patients. Recently, we surveyed the contamination of heterotrophic bacteria in the preparation procedure of Reverse Osmosis water (RO water). The bacterial colonies showing macroscopically morphological differences were subcultured and identified by the API 20 NE systems. Sphingomonas paucimobilis and Brevundimonas vesicularis were also isolated both apparatuses. Same species were identified from the outside of apparatus. These observations indicated that the contamination of heterotrophic bacteria in RO water producing apparatus might be caused by the cross contamination from outside to inside transport of microorganisms in the pipe laying of RO water producing system.
