Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A survey of the use of assistive technology devices in schools for special needs education was conducted by the authors. A questionnaire was sent to 1005 schools, and 726 of them replied. Almost every school possesses digital cameras, digital video-cameras, and projectors. Except for these, less than 40% of assistive technology devices investigated here are possessed by many schools for the blind or for the physical/motor disabilities. Different devices are possessed by these two types of schools.
