Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This research proposes methods for extracting the discussion processes in E-mails. Generally, the number of E-mail concerned on the discussion increases with the progress of discussion. So, it is important but difficult to tidy the required descriptions and to understand the discussion processes from enormous E-mails. To solve this problem, this research initially proposes methods to group E-mails and utterances in them by discussion topic. After that, methods to extract discussion processes are developed. Specifically, "reply pairs" are constructed focusing on the citations among utterances. Then, discussion processes are extracted from the set of reply pairs based on the analyses of the relationships among utterances. Furthermore, methods to extract the discussion states of each topic and the role of the utterances in the discussion processes are investigated. Visualization of the extracted discussion processes enables users to grasp it easily. This research finally aims to develop the discussion visualization system based on the methods. This paper mainly describes the framework of the proposed methods.
