Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) After the human genome sequencing was completed in 2003, we are obtaining huge volumes of information for a diversity such as HapMap (an international genetic variation resource) or CNV (Copy Number Variation) Map, samples for diseases such as Biobank, information for human genome function called Omics, and so forth, as a "post-sequence genome medical science". The systematic analysis for each of those accumulative information is a infrastructure to support the medical science. However, it has been pointed out the insufficiency of human resources for the innovative field of genome informatics which realizes "genome medicine". In 2004, we started training courses specialized for this innovative field, defining "clinical genome informatics" as a system science to support research and development for genome based clinical medicine which tries to integrate bioinformatics and biosimulation. The present study reports the education program, the result of questionnaire, and the future issues.
