Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A dedicated browser application named Voice Browser for Groupware systems (VoBG) was developed. The target users are visually impaired students who are not computer science experts. This browser is a client application for a specified groupware system in our University. The groupware is Web-based system and basically it is accessible one for the visually impaired users, however, the structure of each Web page is too complicated to get information exactly for common visually impaired persons. To solve this problem, VoBG reduces information of these pages using XML tags, and reconstructs each page to understandable format for the target users. After developing first version which reconstructs only the login page and the bulletin board page, a kiosk terminal is prepared to test the browser.
