Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Findings on turn-taking rules of three-party conversations have shown that the party is obliged to take next turn by the current speaker's obligation techniques along with his/her utterances and by the gaze, and also take turns by self-selection among the hearers'. The mechanism of the self-selection, however, has not been understood clearly. This paper introduces hearers' utterance minds that express want to speak/not want to speak/let someone speak/and let someone shut up accompanied with his/her gaze at turn-taking. Then, it analyzes the contributions of the utterance minds of hearer's to the decision of next speaker. The analysis of three-party conversation shows that 70% of the utterance minds that labeled by evaluators were coincident to the selections of next speaker at the turns.
