Automatic Estimation of Action and Drama Degree in Movies

Abstract(in English) According to film grammar, physical movement is emphasized by shortness of shot and mental movement is emphasized by use of camera work. In this text, for a movie, the method of automatic extraction of action and mental movements from the structure of the movie is proposed, and the investigation about relationship between "the rate of shot and the rate of camera work" and "judgment of action and mental movements by human" is described. In addition, the method of presuming "action and mental movements" from "the rate of shot and the rate of camera work" is proposed. And method of using useful metadata for election of movie is considered.
