Image Matching by Triangulation of Feature Points

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a new image matching method with feature points. To extract feature points, we use Scale Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT), which is invariant to image scale and rotation and robust change in illumination etc. Our method eliminates wrong corresponding points by triangulation of feature points and the normalized correlation of the triangle images. This method can handle the transform of object by the triangulation and improvement to match points by processing the triangle in parallel. Evalution of the method is also described.
