Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have constructed a sound production system that can control the sound directivity by controlling bending vibration of a large planar diaphragm using multiple vibrators. This paper indicates the selectability of sound radiation directivity by modulating such as the shape and thickness of the diaphragm and the setting position of the vibrators. We simulated the diaphragm vibration using the Finite Element Method (FEM) and the radiated sound simulation using the Boundary Element Method (BEM). Firstly, we confirm the simulation results are approximately coincident with the real stuff behavior by measuring the bending vibration and the radiated sound directivity and comparing these results with the simulation results. Secondly, we indicated that the radiated sound directivity mainly varies continuously with the parameter variation.
