Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper presents the appropriate channel coding and multiplexing schemes for Layer 1 (L1)/Layer 2 (L2) control signals employing distributed transmission for downlink OFDM radio access in a broadband frequency-selective fading channel more than 10MHz. In the paper, we first compare the block error rate (BLER) performances of a terminated convolutional code, tail-biting convolutional code, and Reed-Muller code with respect to the code block size in a frequency-selective channel. We also compare three distributed multiplexing schemes for L1/L2 control signals, subcarrier-level multiplexing, block-level multiplexing with a constant inter-block interval, and block-level multiplexing with a constant block size in terms of the required average received signal-to-noise power ratio (SNR) to achieve the same average BLER. Moreover, we clarify the achievable frequency diversity by extending the transmission bandwidth and transmit diversity gain using the space frequency block code (SFBC) with respect to the required average received SNR of the L1/L2 control signals.
