Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Ultrasonic tool horns are widely used in the field of ultrasonically assisted production process such as plastics assembly. Rarely, they suffer from crack fracture and obstruct production processs. Experience shows that major cause of this crack fracture is vibrational stress. Paying attention to the thread used for joining horns, we present theoretical expression of vibrational stress. Finally, we exemplify values of vibrational strain which caused crack failures for tool horns used in production process.
