Abstract(in English) In this report, a design method of loop-tube type thermoacoustic cooling system with diverging tube to improve energy conversion efficiency from heat energy to sound energy is proposed. We focus on sound field within a loop-tube when installations position and inner diameters of diverging tube is changed. Installation positions of diverging tube are changed near the top of the prime mover stack and center of loop tube of 1.65m. Two kinds of inner diameters of 42mm and 24mm are used. From the experiment results, sound field was greatly different according to the installation positions of diverging tube. In setting up the diverging tube at antinode of particle velocity of the second wavelength resonance, first order resonance component and traveling wave phase were increased. In addition, it is considered that sound field was changed for boundary condition was changed by the kind of the inner diameters.
