| 抄録(和) | リコンフィギャラブルロジックデバイスは基本素子の入力粒度の違いにより,細粒度方式と粗粒度方式に大別できる.両方式は演算粒度が固定されており,自身の構造に適したアプリケーションでしかその性能を発揮することができない.そこで,本研究では粒度可変論理セルVGLC (Variable Grain Logic Cell)を提案している.VGLCは論理セル単位で粒度を切り替えることが可能であるため,アプリケーションに適した実装が可能となる.本稿ではVGLCに適したローカルインタコネクト構造を提案し,ハードウェアリソース量と柔軟性のトレードオフを検討する.提案ローカルインタコネクトにはクロスバ回路を採用した.また,柔軟性の異なる構造を複数用意し,アプリケーションの実装評価を行った.その結果,ローカルインタコネクト構造の柔軟性を落としVGLCの機能を制限しても,使用セル数論理段数のオーバヘッドは小さいことが分かった. |
| 抄録(英) | Reconfigurable logic devices (RLDs) are classified as fine-grained or coarse-grained types on the basis of their basic logic cell architecture. In general, each architecture has its own advantages; therefore, it is difficult to achieve a balance between the operation speed and implementation area in various applications. In this study, we propose a variable grain logic cell (VGLC) architecture. Its key feature is the variable granularity that is a trade-off between the coarse-grained and fine-grained types required for the implementation arithmetic and random logic, respectively. In this paper, we propose local interconnect structure, which is a corssbar switching circuit, for the VGLC. In order to discuss the trade-off between circuit resources and flexibility, we proposed some types of structure, and evaluated them. As a result, we found that the low-flexibility local interconnect has same effects compared to high-flexbility one. |
