Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A Multi-context Reconfigurable Processor (MRP) can treat various tasks with hardware. However, in the case of treating a task which has data parallelism, the data transfer becomes a bottleneck since a large amount of data need to be transferred. In this paper we propose a processing method of hiding the data transfer by overlapping the data transfer with the task process. As a result of implementing DC level shift and RCT of JPEG2000 on DRP-1 developed by NEC Electronics, the proposed method can reduce the execution clock cycle by 62% and achieve 2.9 times performance. Also, the number of context of proposed method can be a half of that of typical method.
