A Change of Information Ethics as Professional Ethics in the 21^ Century

Abstract(in English) Taking the current situation into consideration, it is a correct view that information ethics has changed its feature from professional ethics to "ethics for everyone" in the late 1990s. But some may think that the aspect of professional ethics still remains in information ethics on the ground that there are "professional" jobs which require high-level skills and advanced knowledge of information technologies such as system engineers and network administrators. But, in spite of such a fact, it is not appropriate to classify information ethics as professional ethics or engineering ethics. On the basis of this fact, I point out that information ethics curriculum at higher education are becoming increasingly important.
