Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper discusses traffic throughput characteristics of buffer-less grid-type packet routing networks using "multipath routing". The results of our computer simulation shows that, by routing packets to detour routes when the shortest path is occupied by a preceding packet, we can achieve less than 10^<-3> of packet loss probability under about 10% of link occupation ratio even if there is no packet buffer. We also revealed that the packet loss probability can be further improved by applying multiple links between routers and that torus topology is effective to eliminate the dispersion of packet loss probabilities which depends on the location of routers.
