Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Simultaneous data delivery services such as video streaming and network games have recently become popular, and that causes the increase of network traffic on the Internet. As one of the solutions, we have proposed μSEcast protocol, which efficiently achieves simultaneous data delivery using IP-based unicast packet forwarding. However, the conventional μSEcast packet header format is redundant, and that increases the μSEcast packet size. In this paper, we develop a new version of μSEcast protocol using a lean packet format. The proposed method is implemented on PC routers and its performance is evaluated.
