Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Multicast technology is well known and widely used as efficient information delivery system. The authors are working on improvement on a reliable multicast system for application of education support purpose. It consists of Reliable Multicast Middleware (RMM) as kernel of the system and application parts such that electric whiteboard system. RMM uses both IP multicast and IP unicast to form hybrid reliable multicast system. In this research, design and implementation of extension of RMM as individual information delivery function based on TCP and secure communication function based on authentication and cryptography. Design and implementation of sound delivery system as an example of real time stream application and screen snapshot delivery system as an example of real time and non-streaming application are also shown.
