Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In future photonic networks, slightly different bit-rate signals may co exist due to the difference of the number of error correction bits added to the data bits. To connect such networks transparently, flexible bit-rate converter is indispensable. In this report, we show an all-optical bit-rate conversion scheme using soliton collision in fiber. We conduct a proof-of-principle experiment to confirm the feasibility of the scheme.
